The power of movement in plants EP

It is one of those weird moments that you accidentally fall over a piece of gold that leads to a treasure, a new discovery. I love them! I didn't even know about Darwin's theory about the power of movement in plants.
It's all about constantly learning and finding, building a network that contributes to your amelioration, creating your own existence, perceiving things you never did before.
All about understanding and enjoying music in a deeper sense, discovering how magical a piece of plastic (vinyl) might be, appreciating the power of the machine, letting the sound penetrate your whole body, listening through your brain. To feel, to love, to share!

A concept taken from an old book of Charles Darwin, where he theorized the existence of a brain in plant roots, in order to feature a stylistic evolution from Ambient to Techno. A free way of thinking without schemes, as we move into territory that we love, in the boundless fields of electronic music.

Our debut Ep features the following artists:

// Commodity Place presents: Soils
A great ambient song inspired by Pete Namlook's music, a 13 minutes journey into space.

// passEnger presents: Is This For Real?
A detroitian downtempo track with sweet melodies and muffled electro beats. Pure futuristic soul.

// Cosmic Metal Mother presents: The Unreleased Techno Mixes Series (comunicazione uno)
A special track, simply a strange adventure in techno music with old school industrial influences, distorted rhythms and powerful dynamics.

Le voyage dans la Lune

A magical and innovative film turning into a night just 110 years from then

A night dedicated to George Méliès. A French filmmaker who used Augmented Reality to craft the world’s first science fiction movie, “A Trip to the Moon”. Guided by his creative instincts and artistic passion he produced surreal settings of illusory, dreamed-up, realities. He was the first man to realize that films could capture dreams and has since taken the cinematic imagination on a fantastic new voyage.

Essoterika is taking this voyage with you as we depart for “A Trip to the Moon” with sounds of contemplative spaciousness that evoke a continuum of spatial imagery and emotion. A night of deep listening, an awareness of the spatiality of sound phenomeno. A psychonautic listening of multiple genres that produce a subtle trance-like state which can in turn lead to sensations of flying, floating, cruising, gliding, or hovering and expansive moods.

Gently gliding through space you start to comprehend the enormity which surrounds you.  No boundaries exist.  Only those which are physically impossible to bypass and those which are set by yourself.
You start to imagine what is waiting for you upon your arrival.  Will it be awe-inspiring, will it be mind expanding, or will it simply be a disappointment.  The destination has been reached and your expectations are not comparable to the spectacle you are experiencing.  Words, thoughts, images, cannot express the sights you are seeing.  Your everyday existence suddenly ceases to exist and you are open to the full possibilities which unravel themselves in front of you.  Nothing seems unreachable, your only enemy is time...  As you peer at the world you forget that it is a place in which you exist physically.  It is now a place which you only exist mentally, in the consciousness of those who have experienced you.
The earth and the space, in which it exists, seem to be in unison, both supporting and existing in conjuction with each other.  You then focus on the earth and capture its beauty, as it floats in the seemingly endless darkness.  You marvel at its colours as it shines through the darkness, illuminating the space surrounding it.  You see a planet which radiates so much light and energy, and you then understand how this planet gives life to all living creatures upon it.  You then think about all the problems which exist within it, all the pain, all the suffering and all the misery, and you understand that it is the human mind and the 'boundaries' imprisoning individuals which are the root of the problem.
Suddenly you take off and begin your descent to the earth.  You start thinking of the boundaries which will limit your own possibilities and you find yourself back on earth, limited physically by your earthly surroundings, but you now have the knowledge of the possibilities which exist but can only be experienced on your next   'trip to the moon'.

Fact #10:

Palestine

If you destroy our houses you will not destroy our souls...
They are untouchable, above your reality.
They belong to us and they grow stronger, they get awakened.
Houses collapse, bodies surrender but souls are eternal.

And even if you destroy our home you will not conquer us, not unless we let you!
We are more, and we got something you don't: souls, consciousness and the sense of humanity. These make us invincible.

We don't have suits but we got souls
We don't believe in money, we believe in ideas
And we may not have the guns but we got the numbers

Moby journal

Where most people focus on the end of the world (supposed to come in a few days) Moby sees a new beginning:

[Taken from http://www.moby.com/journal/2012-12-16/]

«here's a picture i took earlier. i'm not sure what it is, exactly, but i'm choosing to believe that it's a raven harbinger of some sort of relatively benign apocalypse or it could just be a crow.

                             raven

but as the mayan apocalypse is almost upon us i'm going to go with 'raven harbinger' rather than 'crow'. or both.
so. i have my own hopes/thoughts about the upcoming mayan apocalypse.
first and foremost is my hope that we're somehow moving out of the age of stupid.
for millions of years our ancestors had to deal with problems that were not of their own making. like, for example, bears and lions and scarcity.
and now we primarily have to deal with problems of our own making: obesity, cigarettes, war, rape, famine, pollution, intolerance, global warming, gun violence, murder, etc, etc.
and we unfortunately have no one to blame but ourselves.
we've created paradise and filled it with problems.
so my hope is that the apocalypse will somehow get people to wake up and stop being so pointlessly and avoidably stupid.
and to stop creating problems for themselves. and, while we're at it, for others.
which sounds glib, i know.
but that's what i'm hoping. maybe, as some smart people think, it's also leaving behind the era of belligerent patriarchy and moving into an era of benign matriarchy.
maybe it's when the polar ice sheets fall into the sea and we realize that there are consequences to idling our cars in the parking lot at starbucks.
or, simply, it's when we(me included) all wake up and stop being stupid.
maybe it's when we stop wrapping plastic toys in plastic shrink wrap.
maybe it's when we stop feeding thousands of pounds of grain to cows when that same grain could actually be fed to starving humans.
maybe it's when governments stop subsidizing tobacco production.
maybe it's when we stop heating our driveways.
maybe it's when the punishment for rape becomes greater than the punishment for growing marijuana.
maybe it's when we stop paying professional athletes 10,000 times more than school teachers.
maybe it's when we stop using drinkable water in our toilets.
maybe it's when we stop using poison to keep golf courses looking green.
maybe it's when the background check on buying a gun becomes more extensive than the background check on adopting a cat.
and so on. and so on.
in any case, here's a picture of a crow who is heralding the end of the age of stupid.»
